Fun With Friends

What if...three amazing girls came over and made ridiculously ravishing ribs? What if...the night were filled with non-stop laughter along with Greg and Dan's lascivious dance moves? Well my friends, the night of December forth was such a night. You shan't be surprised to know that on this night we had the time of our lives! It was truly a night that pleads and calls upon the subtle yet striking nature of a paradise post.

It all started with with three beautiful ladies named Bryndee, Rachel, and Missy. The girls offered a dinner worthy of eight hungry men. Any who truly know us can testify that our food intake can easily supersede the average Joe, or even the average EAC student. In a few simple words: you dish it, we'll down it! That being said, the girls succeeded in satisfying our cravings. We were frankly astonished at the size of the ribs, and let me tell you folks, the seasoning boldly backed up the beef!

After dinner we shot the breeze for a bit, like we so often tend to do with these great ladies, then we decided to break out the papers and pens for a crazy game of "What if..." As we read the ridiculous questions, the room roared to life with laughter. It wouldn't be surprising if even a couple of people soiled their Levi's. The fun literally lasted for hours. Realizing that we were having way to much fun then should be permitted, we decided to put on some music and have a Greg-Dan mini dance off. WOW, those boys can really move it on the floor!

We give a big shout out to these girls! Bryndee, Missy, and Rachel: you truly know the way to a man's heart! (that food was great) All in all, we all had a great time and continued cultivating great friendships in the process. Who says Thatcher life is always dull? We here at the Peacock Pad definitely beg to differ. Fun, as you now know, can always be found at the base of Ting Ting Ridge, in Peacock Paradise.

Peacock Spotlight: Andrew "Gazelle" Farr

What can be said about this six foot six man of wonder? The heart-breaker is known to many girls as "the tall blonde," and to others as the agile biker seen cruising on his Cannondale in the wee hours of the morning. To those who know and love him the most, however, Andrew Farr is known as the great "Gazelle!" As we at the Peacock Pad have come to know this tenacious trooper, we've come to admire and accept him as one of our own.

During the past two weeks Andrew has been down with a bad ankle, but even as a cripple he continues to amaze and inspire us! Here's what the boys have to say about him:

What a guy! What a stud! This man is so cool he could wear a v-neck shirt and not be called a fag. I love him. P.S. Andrew, your laugh makes me laugh! -Greg "G Baby" Graham

Sometimes when I come home late at night I see Andrew sleeping and I ask myself, self; how is it possible that there are not like three girls in this stud's bed with him? Truly he is a god amongst men! -Keith "Ting-Ting" Hatch

What is it that makes Andrew the Gazelle? Is it his intense irresistibility, his cool charisma, or his stellar studlihood? Maybe Horchato can shed some light on this...

Oh Gazelle, my little grasshopper. You have grown so much in so little time. I love you man! Thanks for pushing me to my potential. P.S. I stole some of your food storage under your bed in the right corner by the wall...your laugh is funny. -Matt "Horchato" Haban

Gazelle: the only guy that can get hurt and have food and movies brought to him and then give Matt crap only a week later! :) -Ryan "Rino" Simpson

What can be said about Andrew "The Gazelle" Fairbanks Farr? No man of his stature has ever walked the halls of the peacock house: physically or otherwise! He is the man of the match! -Adam "Carne" Hall

Gazelle, you need to stop crying about your ankle...I mean, it's been two weeks! But seriously, it's good to have you in the Peacock Pad. -Alan "Chicharron" Simpson

As we continue to contemplate his beautiful beastliness, we cannot forget the grace with which The Gazelle continues to glide through life--and at the same time push us all to the finish line--even without his bike or his ankle! We love you bud!

A day in the valley

Well friends and fellow bloggers, I would be failing in my obligations as a true blogger if i did not paint you a picture of yesterday's adventures!
Our Saturday was one full of driving, lack of sleep, and great conversation. We--Adam, Matt and Dan--started our journey in the wee hours of the morning--5am, to be precise. As we left the Peacock Pad, we were quite tired, yet full of anticipation for the activities which would follow. Our planned activities included attending the temple, swinging by the Fiesta Mall, and ultimately eating at our very own favorite, ALOHA KITCHEN! Anyone who has feasted upon the succulent array of fresh Hawaiian cuisine understands our thrill at eating there. Even the casual mention of the teriyaki chicken and beef, the garlic basted shrimp, the mouth watering bulging burgers, and the complimentary cuts of fresh pineapple make a man weak at the knees! What splendor! Anyhow, as we ventured to the temple, the conversation shifted from girls to missions, from trials to changes... then back to girls.

After the temple, we headed over to the mall to do some shopping. As we entered Anchor Blue to get some jeans, the clerk asked us if we wanted to play a game--it was to throw a soft squishy ball through a small hole and win 50% off. Dan of course was the only one to make it but later got his cell stolen in the dressing room! Then we headed to the Aloha Kitchen and ate our majestic meals with chop sticks! As we were were late coming home, and Adam couldn't risk another ticket, Dan offered to drive, and boy was it an adventurous ride! All in all, we were very lucky to be able to attend the temple together and eat a marvelous meal... it was truly a good day to be in PEACOCK PARADISE!

The Good Life!

With semester studies well underway, we are all getting a tad tired and somewhat stressed. Yet, through the tough times, we keep pushing on and having a blast!
Alan and Ryan are keeping the Monster marching band alive and motivated, as Greg aka G-baby is "just enjoing life and kickin it with the homies." And ladies, our boy Greg is currently single ;) don't let this hot heartthrob pass you by! Keith continues to successfully juggle a well stacked school schedule with the deepening demands of a vigorous social life. As a side-note, he does give the best massages! Matt is keeping everyone in line with his words of wisdom and great needed ting ting talks as Adam shows how it's done both on the racquetball court and in the classroom. Andrew is still king of the BB court as he pulled an all-gamer last night. He continues to be a true biker and is training for a ride up the mountain. Dan is just enjoying Thatcher life and becoming the master of skeet shooting. All in all, we're moving along here, sometimes slowly, sometimes in the blink of an eye. With life as short as it is--and college life that much shorter--lets have ourselves a good time this semester!
